Biodiesel

Reduce your footprint through the gift of Biodiesel.

Poor communities find that their ability to engage in entrepreneurial enterprises is strongly limited by the cost of fuel. Imagine empowering them to manufacture their own green fuel through the widespread and naturally sustainable tropical agricultural crop, coconuts.

Coconuts grow abundantly throughout Asia & the Pacific, can tolerate poor sandy soils with saline water and survive frequent cyclones. They require minimum maintenance and can bear fruit each month for approximately 65 years. As few as 6 to 10 coconuts are required to produce one litre of biodiesel.

Coconut biodiesel is a truly amazing product which results in:

* affordable and renewable environment-friendly fuel for villagers
* local employment opportunities
* diesel motors smelling like freshly baked biscuits rather than belching acrid black smoke
* left-over waste useful for animal feed, fertilizer, cooking briquettes and building materials

For isolated island communities, coconut oil provides a cheap, renewable source of bio-fuel to be used in diesel generators to provide electricity in remote villages, in trucks and even ships.
